There are many causes for snoring. One reason underlying snoring is inadequate sleeping position. This is certainly be related to the kind of pillow used. An anti-snoring pillow is especially designed to support the head and neck which keeps the air passages open and thus prevents or reduces snoring.

One of the most popular and successful anti-snoring pillows is the one made of memory foam. Memory foam is a special kind of material developed in the late 1960s. Not getting enough sleep because of your snoring is a sad situation; however, there are a few things you can try to quit snoring.
Different Strokes for Different Folks
One thing to try when you want to quit snoring is to elevate your head. Using a thicker pillow or two stacked pillows may help relieve the snoring by keeping the airway open. Some snorers have found success by sleeping on their side, or on a special foam pillow that encourages side sleeping.
Being overweight causes pressure on your airway, since excess fatty tissue leaves less room in the chest. Losing weight, however, is easier said than done. You may need to try various ways of losing weight to find what works best for you.
Some people snore because of clogged nasal passages. Nasal strips may help with this, and you can find them at any discount store or drug store. These help you quit snoring by physically opening up your nose and nostrils. Avoiding dairy products before bed can help you to stop snoring if excess mucus is the culprit. |
